If you’re obsessed with The Summer I Turned Pretty, here’s your sign to plan a Wilmington, North Carolina road trip. While the TV show is set in the fictional beach town of Cousins, it’s actually filmed in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, and the surrounding areas.
My bestie and I took a girls’ trip out here specifically to track down all of these filming locations from the TV show, so all of this is from my very own personal experience. Hope you enjoy your time in Cousins!
Where to Stay in Wilmington:
While in town, I highly recommend staying at The Cove Riverwalk Villas. This spot is located near downtown Wilmington and a lot of the TSITP filming locations, making it very centrally located and it is a super unique home base for exploring all of the Cousins-inspired spots.
Where to Get The Summer I Turned Pretty Souvenirs:
Charming little gift shop that sells themed items including the chance to get your very own Junior Mint! This is the only place I’ve found where you can get one of him.

Downtown shop where you can choose from a variety of TSITP souvenirs as well as other shows that were filmed in Wilmington (IE. Dawson’s Creek).

1. Little Loaf Bakery & Schoolhouse
This spot is where Belly tries to order Jeremiah’s iconic “two-tier 70% dark chocolate cake with raspberry coulis filling and a shiny chocolate mirror glaze.”
Definitely plan on getting yourself a little sweet treat, I even hear they sometimes have TSITP themed goodies!

2. Alderman Hall
Located on the UNC Wilmington campus, this building serves as Conrad’s dorm. The actual entrance that Conrad uses is on the backside of the building, opposite the parking lot.

3. Wrightsville Beach Access Points 39-43
Includes a ton of iconic beach spots like where Jeremiah and Belly run into the water together in Episode 1, where Belly and Conrad have their first kiss, and so many more!
4. Russell’s Gas Station
The gas station Belly and her family stop at in Season 1, Episode 1 on their way into Cousin’s Beach.

5. Cape Fear Country Club
Used as the show’s country club setting throughout the series and where they have the Deb Ball.

6. Oceanic Restaurant
This oceanfront restaurant is where Belly and Jeremiah announce their engagement to the family. The actual spot where their table was located is on the second floor at the corner table to the left.
Highly recommend actually eating here as it was delicious and had great views of the beach.

7. Azalea Inn & Suites
The motel where Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah stay during the storm and Conrad tells Belly he still wants to be with her but she chooses Jeremiah.

8. ARRIVE Hotel, Gazebo Bar, & Dram Yard
ARRIVE Hotel: Served as “the inn” where everyone stays for the wedding.
Gazebo Bar: Where Lucinda is drunk the night before the wedding and catches Steven and Denise together.
Dram Yard: Where John and Laurel makeout and where later Jeremiah has his post-cancelled wedding crashout.

9. The Fat Pelican
This is the bar where Laurel and Susannah have their girls’ night out. If you decide to stop in for a drink, the bartenders will love chatting with you about what it was like having them there to film the show.

10. Casa Blanca Coffee Roasters
This coffee shop doubled as the California café scenes with Conrad and Agnes.
