BEST PHOTO SPOTS IN CHEFCHAOUEN, MOROCCO

Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl,” is one of the most photogenic places in Morocco, and the best way to experience it is by wandering through the blue-washed streets. Around every corner, you’ll find painted staircases, colorful doors, tiled details, hidden alleys, and picture-perfect little corners that feel straight out of a postcard.

To make exploring easier, I put together a self-guided walking route with some of the best photo spots in Chefchaouen. This route takes you through 15 beautiful stops, from iconic blue doors to tiled streets, mosaic houses, and one of the famous Lonely Planet-style photo locations.

A quick note before you go: some of these spots are exact landmarks, while others are small corners or alleys. Use the coordinates below instead of relying only on the names. I highly recommend going early in the morning if you want the streets to feel quieter and easier to photograph. Chefchaouen can get busy during the day, especially around the most popular corners and doorways.
